The Ada County Sheriff Employees Association is proud to announce our 2018 “Shop with a Sheriff” Back to School Event. The event will be held Saturday August 11th, 2018 at the Walmart Store on Ten Mile Rd in Meridian.
The program is designed to unite Ada County Sheriff deputies and public safety employees with local disadvantaged children for a special day of shopping. Each child is guaranteed new shoes, several outfits of clothing, and a backpack filled with school supplies. Children and families will be carefully selected and screened by a committee of local law enforcement officers. Approximately $200 will be spent on each child. Our goal is to sponsor as many children as possible, through the support of donations from our citizens and businesses here in Ada County. Contributions directly benefit the “Shop with a Sheriff” program but can also be used at the Ada County Sheriff Employees’ Associations discretion for other community programs.
As a society, we must do all we can to support the less fortunate, especially the children. The Ada County Sheriff Employees Association believes this to be a worthwhile program, one that will benefit the children and families of Ada County. It is a great time for cops and kids to interact and break down the barriers that often exist. The goal is to not only financially help these children, but to let them know they have someone to turn to when faced with a potential crisis.
The ACSEA strongly believes that we will make a difference in the lives of our children and families here in Ada County and the surrounding communities. We are grateful for your consideration and support as we strive to help the community.
